What AC Repair Covers
When you call us for AC repair, we handle every component of a residential cooling system. Most repairs are completed in a single visit because our trucks carry the common parts. The repairs we get called for most often:
- Not cooling / blowing warm air. Usually low refrigerant, a failing capacitor, or a frozen evaporator coil. We diagnose the actual cause before quoting.
- Loud noises. Grinding, screeching, or banging usually means a failing fan motor, loose blower wheel, or compressor issue. Catching it early prevents a full unit failure.
- System will not turn on. Blown capacitor, tripped breaker, bad thermostat, dead contactor. Diagnostic in 15 to 30 minutes.
- Short-cycling. Turning on and off every few minutes is rough on the compressor and your electric bill. Usually a sizing or sensor problem.
- Water leaking inside. Clogged condensate drain in most cases. We clear it and check the pan and float switch.
- Ice on the unit. Refrigerant or airflow problem. Turn the system off so it can thaw, then call us before running it again (running a frozen unit can crack the compressor).
